Please help, first a question, then second just a comment.

Question: I am paying my fee with a USPS Money Order. I understand that I have to completely spell out U.S. Department of Homeland Security for PAY TO, but for an address on the money order do I leave it blank or is there a address to DHS I put on this money order. Then under Memo what info should I put here, the Alien number and the name of my spouse who is the one going through the ROC Process?? Thank you kindly

My comment. $85 for Biometrics, sitting here thinking all through our process of Fiancee Visa up till now applying for the ROC, a couple background checks, a couple Biometric's having to go through all this fee and expense. My comment is I have 3 concealed weapons permits from my home state, Wyoming and Utah State. My application form, the background checks and the fingerprinting to get these concealed weapons permit, per state, was not more than $55. I can go to my local law enforcement agency, county, city or state and have my fingerprinting done for $5.00. Why is the expense with Homeland Security so much. The fingerprinting, the background checks, etc for my concealed weapons permit is all done through local, state, and FBI agencies. Will never understand the much high expense of the biometrics from DHS. Also, through this long journey, so many fingerprints. I understand from process to process a criminal act could of been committed, but, I always though once a set of fingerprints are taken they are entered into a data base where they can be matched up for years to come, the constant fees for many fingerprints just does not add up except for in our governments hands, I guess??? I feel my background checks and my fingerprints for my concealed weapons permits are very thorough in this country to possess and legally carry a firearms is a fair price they charge, but DHS seems to be way out of line on the fee expense, just my observation and I am sure somebody out in Visa Journey land will set me straight on this comment!!!!

Thank you for my comment and the answer to my question.

biometrics takes a photo too!

I dunno why it's so much, except that the USCIS is funded completely off fees and they need money to pay people.
