Annoying Adobe "+" Marks

When I try to fill in any of the forms in Adobe, in areas where there is not enough space, I get these annoying"+" marks ... little black boxes with a "+" in it indicating not all data is showing. Problem is, in many instances, sufficient data is showing except for a micro-millimeter or something. An example are the year fields on the G-325A.

Anyone know how to toggle off these plus marks or better yet, how to enlarge the fields?

I realize I can just print the forms out and type in the information but would really prefer to have it down on a computer. Thanks for any advice.

Alternatively, I have heard that if you get hold of a copy of Adobe Acrobat, (not just the reader), by some means, (use the trial version), you can edit the size of the fields so that your info fits in the boxes, then when you are done previewing the software you can just uninstall it from your 'puter.

^i used the Adobe Acrobat at work and try to do that with the G-325A. it worked...but i had to do it to all four pages! (there goes my lunch hour) apparently...it does not copy to the other pages. if you don't want the hassle of editing the G-325A fields...u might as well abbreviate as much as you can so that the + won't appear.

Yeah, it was a bit fiddley, but I'm the same as the OP, it was annoying me and I just HAD to fit my info in the boxes without plus signs. LOL

Thanks the responses ... for those that have resized the fields, do you remember where the option was to do so? I've got the full version of Adobe Acrobat and I couldn't find that option.

As for the OCD ... man, I must have gone to at least 5 places to find the perfect way to include the photos - some sort of 8.5x11 plastic sheet was what I was hunting for but all I could find were ones with the 3 holes down the sides making it far larger than 8.5x11. I've resolved to just throw them into a ziplock and tape that to a sheet of paper with the appropriate heading. I am going OCD with custom printed divider tabs along the bottom page of each new section hahaha. This is so bad.

OK. Open the form you want to edit in Acrobat. Click the "Form" button in the toolbar, (top right usually).

Select "Edit Fillable Form" from the menu and Adobe Designer will open with your form in it.

Click on the field you want to resize and "drag points" appear around the box. You can now resize.

If it's the 325a you're doing, don't forget to scroll down and do it for each page.

I only had to resize about 4 fields which means 16 resizes to do, (4 on each page).

It specifically states to put FOUR digit year. I had the same problem. I tried to delete it and it wouldn't let me delete it......all ZEROS would coume up. I completele deleted the whole info from the G325 trying to re do it again but gave me the same problem. I cleaned the cookies from my computer and only then the whole application was cleared. Then when it came to that point i did NOT type anything there, did not even try to put anything there and left it totally blank, then i typewrite it all the dates by typewriter but you can leave it blank and neatly fill it out yourself.

Good luck!

Yeah, lol. It's totally satisfying to have it look that good. Makes you wonder who designed the form in the first place with fields too small.!!

I'm not sure. My SO did that bit but I'm pretty sure she did baggies and attached them to paper with info on. I'll have to ask her.

That's ok if the actual data you are inputting fits in the box. Some of the boxes were too short for me so that would not work in my case. I had no choice but to edit the field sizes. :(
