Anxious about my ssn

I have an ssn number months now but was on my family last name.

I went to change the last name on my ssn and they told that my info have been unverified and that's something we should worry! It's normal.

It has been 2 weeks now and I still haven't received the new ssn.

What's going on? Should I worry?

The first time I received the ssn in less than 1 week

so, they have to verify via DHS Verification, right?

that singular process needs 4 weeks. minimum.

You showed the EAD card with the new name, right? Sorry, 4 weeks minimum.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
