Case # generated, but no IIN?

Hi all,

I got through to the NVC this morning and was able to obtain my Case Number. However, when I asked for my IIN, the operator not only refused to give it to me, she flat out said "There is no such thing, I don't know what you're talking about." I specified that it's the Invoice Idenficiation Number needed to access forms on CEAC, and she repeated that "Such a number does not exist" and that she had no clue what I was yammering on about.

Is it possible that she's just misinformed? She did say that my case number was generated only on Monday (and so couldn't add our e-mail addresses for another week) so perhaps the IIN hasn't been generated yet?

i vote for 'poorly trained'.

remember, IIN not generated same day the Consular Casefile # is generated, it's a few days later. Since yer back and busy, asking questions, please make the time (from a PC) to fill out yer official VJ timeline over at http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=201801 as it helps folk who are attempting to answer your questions.

Sorry I understand your frustation but usually take time (30) or sometimes less to assisng your case number and invoice number i suggest to call back again and may be another agent be capable to help you or let you know more or less when may be you can get your case number. good luck

It will take some time to generate IIN. As soon as it is generated an email will come to you, so dont worry. Calling NVC is frustrating, they never give any helpful information. Only waste of time.
