Good Monday morning everybody,

Just letting you know guys that I received a reply from the US embassy in Addis for my email that I sent them back in September. Back then, I ask them what the hold up was. This is part of the reply they sent me;

"According to our records, we have not yet received the approved petition from the National Visa Center (NVC). In the meantime, you can contact NVC to inquire about the status of the petition. Please be informed that immigrant visa cases are processed and scheduled for interview by National Visa Center (NVC). The applicant will receive an instruction packet and appointment letter from NVC. "

My assumption was once your case is approved, NVC will send it to the respective US consulate and the consulate will schedule your case for interview. . . . I guess I'm wrong

FYI: My CC date is 5/27/2015

Wall1001,

Hello and how are you. I know your mind is racing a 1000 Second and times and time over did I do this or that. if you have everything and yoy prepared your mother will do fine. He info to help you get think rolling. I don't mean to step on anyone but this the details..

A. Procedures for the 165.00 fee for entering the USA.

1. At the end of your immigrant visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate, the consular officer will inform you whether your visa application is approved or denied. praying that is will get approved.

2. Visa approval - When approved, you will be informed how and when your passport and visa will be returned to you.

3. Passport with Visa – Your immigrant visa will be placed on a page in your passport. Please review the printed information right away to make sure there are no errors. If there are any spelling errors, contact the embassy or consulate promptly.

4. Sealed Immigrant Packet - You will also receive a sealed packet containing documents that you must present to U.S. Customs and Border Protection at a port-of-entry (often an airport) upon your arrival in the United States. You must not open the sealed packet.

5. USCIS Immigrant Fee - You must pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) after you receive your immigrant visa and before you travel to the United States.

6. Select USCIS Immigrant Fee on the USCIS website for more information. Important Notice: USCIS will not issue a Permanent Resident Card (Form I-551 or Green Card) until you have paid the fee.

7.

How to Pay the Fee

You must pay the fee online using the USCIS Electronic Immigration System. Below are the steps to pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee.

Process for Paying

Your USCIS Immigrant Fee

Receive your immigrant information

  • The U.S. embassy or consulate will give you your:
    • A-Number (the letter “A” followed by 8 or 9 numbers);
    • DOS Case ID (3 letters followed by 9 or 10 numbers);
    • Instructions for paying the USCIS Immigrant Fee;
    • Immigrant Data Summary; and
    • Sealed immigrant visa packet.

If you are a Diversity Visa immigrant, your DOS Case ID will have 4 numbers followed by 2 letters and 5 more numbers (for example: 0000AB01234).

Go to the USCIS Electronic Immigration System

  • Go to uscis.gov/uscis-elis.
  • Select the “Log in” button.
  • Select “USCIS Immigrant Fee” from the chart.
  • Enter your A-Number and DOS Case ID, which can be found on your immigrant data summary, USCIS Immigrant Fee handout, or immigrant visa stamp.
  • If you cannot pay the USCIS Immigrant Fee, a family member, friend, employer, attorney or accredited representative can pay for you. If someone pays the fee for you, they will need your A‑Number and DOS Case ID.

Pay USCIS Immigrant Fee

  • Pay $165 online. If you are paying for family members who will reside with you in the United States, you may pay all fees in one transaction.
  • Provide valid payment information. You must pay either with a valid credit or debit card or provide your U.S. bank routing and checking account numbers to have money taken directly from your U.S. bank account.

I hope this information provide will help you put some worry to rest for you and your Momma Journey.
