Case at embassy, status ready for month, updated today, why??

Hmmm, my case has been at the embassy for about a month, status "ready" for a while, interview on July 30th. I noticed there was an update done today by the embassy. Is this common?

The update you saw means that your case was touched by someone at the embassy. Your case was looked at. It is normal for the case to be updated multiple times. Before and After interview.

Of course they are preparing for an interview. They could have gotten information. Completed an investigation. Got information back,. Every time they touch inter information they update your file. Nothing to worry about. Just prep work on their end.
