Hi, All!

I just want to ask. What does NVC look for in the W2 and/or IRS tax transcript to check if we are meeting the Poverty guidelines, is it the Adjusted Gross Income or the Taxable income?

And also is the IRS tax transcript the same

As the federal income tax return? We already have the IRS tax transcript. How do we get or request the federal income tax return.

Thanks for all your help.

The USCIS is concerned with your gross income for the minimum 125% poverty level. The IRS transcript is all you will need. This transcript is what the IRS did to complete the filing of your tax return and everything listed and more is taken from your ITR.

Best of luck!
