According to call, police certificate issue is put for supervisor to review. NVC Inquiry sent me this email in the morning.

Dear Sir/Madam,

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your documents on 09-JUN-15. We are experiencing a high volume of incoming mail at this time. Please allow 30 days from the date we received your mail for the NVC to review your documents. We are diligently working to reduce our review time and appreciate your patience. The NVC will notify you after our review if there is additional information required or if we are able to schedule your case for an interview overseas.

Is it good or bad?

I sent all my documents via email first time on May 19th, while NVC system was down, I also attached DS-260 information in text file.

When on June 9th I called, they had a note on my file, they want police certificate. I told them that I will take it to embassy since I am in US currently and my lawyer asked me not to leave US until appointment, and police certificate would be only available in person.

They put a note on that for supervisor to review. And call them in a week. I called yesterday, and they said supervisor can take up to 42 days. I thought I should start calling every day. Not sure if today's message is any way related to my yesterday's call or not.

I got the same this morning. It seems that you and I submit the package on the same day. It's a routine and standard process having nothing to do with bad or good. They need timing to review the package we submit.

Please fill your timeline. Otherwise I won't have a clue if your timeline is similar as mine or not.

calling everyday won't help supervisor review usually takes the whole time, and be prepared I don't think they are going to allow you around not giving them a police clearance . But hopefully it works out in your favor .

I called NVC, and asked for supervisor. The guy checked if a supervisor was available. He talked to his supervisor, and the supervisor put in a request to release the documents to her. Otherwise she won't have access to my electronic documents. She asked him to ask me to call back again on Friday, and the case would be updated by then.

We are in the same situation. My husband is here in the US and cannot get his background. We were told by our Attorney and have read other people's experience that we sent a statement with our packet saying we could not get the background until we go to his country for the interview and that we would provide it then. From my understanding this is acceptable but we are waiting on our review. Our packet was received by USCIS on 6/10/15. My husband received an approved I-601A Waiver.....

I talked to supervisor on Monday, and she still want police certificate, and read me from RCMP website how to get Canadian certificate from USA.

Anyways expensive route (almost $300 to get a police certificate), But I am doing that. I will hopefully be able to email that certificate by Monday.

The only exception would have been if police certificate was unavailable.

Although supervisor said it will be another 30 days since that point, but I would start calling right away.
