My fiance and her daughter went through the first day of medical today. Daughter was clear thank god. :) My fiance` which we expected to be clear was told she needed to come back on thursday for the blood test results. What does this mean? Is it a standard wait for HIV and pregnancy?

Without asking SLEC what the issues are I would say that they are not interested in HIV or a pregnancy as neither of those would have a baring on her ability to get a visa. Having said that blood test are normal for this exam but it's usually taken during the exam not as a come back. Sorry but I can't be more definitive with my answer.

Report back when you find out please. Thanks.

Just went last week. They didn't mention coming back the second day for blood results specially but to get shots. That seems par for the course. I know the time between day one and day two is when they look at blood and xray results....

That makes perfect sense now.... she is returning to complete her vaccinations is my guess. Not sure how blood work on the second day enters in, first day yes to ready for second day vaccines. Maybe she heard wrong or the information was given to her wrong. I guess you won't know till she returns the second day for "blood work".

That makes sense. She did say she was being good and didn't question anything... She said normally she would have but it wasn't her Doctor. LOL

As far as I remember from my medical last year...

Medical is actually 2 days - The medical proper with vaccination for the first day then paper works on the 2nd day or medical proper the 1st day then paper works and vaccination the 2nd day. - The lady told me that because I asked why do I have to come back the next day, if I could just wait and get what I needed that day. She says, it's really 2 days.

Everything is the first day. The second day is only vacs and picking up your paperwork.. Did it last week.
