USCIS case status

I was wondering if anyone knows what the wording means on the USCIS case status page "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the NSCS 1 (800) 375-5283 for additional information."

We have our NAO1 on May 5th and waiting for NOA2 but when we log in we first got case number not found and now the above appears. Just wondering if this means and RFE is coming or just means we are getting closer to them looking at it for possible NOA2 approval. I was with a friend who file NOA1 on May 7th and when they log in it says that the approximate date to review is June 14th. Any insight would be appreciated.

I kept getting that response online as well (began checking at the 30 day mark from my NOA1, which was approved on April 24). Never could successfully log in for an answer but finally got our NOA2 via snail mail on June 11 (actual date of approval on June 4). Hang in there!

Yep! You won't see a different page until your NOA2 is issued. I got the same page a day after I recieved my paper NOA1 and didn't see anything other than ERROR until the day my NOA2 was in the system.

It's normal.


The next best thing you can do is make an account and track your case. It'll show you the last date it was updated. It'll still show the error if nothing has happened but it's nice to see when the dates get updated.

Thanks for the info but in my case I was not allowed to log in and when I put my case number it gave me an error and about a week ago I put in the case number and logged in and the errors went away but it just said no information is available. Again just concerned because another fellow VJ's says something different and actually recognizes his NAO1 and then tells him that his NAO@ may show up around June 14th. It is so frustrating that they cannot be consistent with their responses.

I filed back in March, got NOA1 waited for about a week before signing up on USCIS website. I Checked everyday for something to show up and just last week on Tuesday June 9 was there something in the website, so it took almost three months for anything to post.

All the info states is when they received the packet, nothing more.

I am positive that there has not been a NOA2, otherwise it would state the status, plus I have on the e-mail and text alerts for any changes.
