I130 for Spouse-Husband OR Father name on Pakistani Passport

Hi,

I need some urgent feedbacks from paksitani based I130 petitioners/Beneficiaries.

My wife went to the passport office to apply for her passport and there she was told to have her husband ID smart card copy so that she can have her husband name on her passport else she has her father name on the passport. I want to know if its ok to have her father name on her passport instead of her husband as i don't have any pakistani ID with me and even if I want to make it will take about 4 month to get it. So for the purpose of I130 is this has any significance if she has her husband or her father name on the passport. Need some expert thought.

Hello,

You don't need to the husband's name on the passport to fill out the I-130.

My wife put my name on her passport, I viewed it as an evidence of marriage but I haven't encounter any paper work where Immigration people are asking the Husband's name has to be on on the passport.

No Problem at all. We did not change the name anywhere and kept fathers name. Everything went smoothly and got the visa:)
