More money to USCIS?

The following applies to CR-1 / CR-2 visa entry:

I was doing additional reading at the state department visa guide pages and came across yet another requirement to fork over another $165 this time back to USCIS where the adventure started. They said I need to create a login at the elis.uscis.gov site and pay more money for additional processing costs.

Simple question is the $165 for each family unit or for each family member entering the US? My asawa already has her visa and we hope that daughter/step-daughters CR-2 will follow shortly after. If the payment is for each 'A#' is it best to wait until I have both available or can I do 1 at a time?

After this fee is paid can I expect even more monetary requirements at a later time. My understanding is this fee ($165) is for issuing a gc and ssan, correct?

It's for one person. You can use one account and pay for your family members though.

You should pay it before your spouse get to US.

Edit : You won't be paying any more money , it's the final step.

The US165 which is for gc can be paid before or after (maybe days or a week after - i paid my son's gc a week after he arrived) she arrives in the US. For your stepdaughter, yes there would be a lot of fees to be paid when you petition her. US420 at USCIS, US325 plus US88 at NVC, US200+ for medical, and lastly the US165 for GC.

Yeah already going through that for daughter. Due to total incompetence of USCIS last year daughter's ap is lagging behind her moms by at least 9-10 months and I will have to repay the AOS which is now $120 vs. $88! I'm hoping for an expedite due to those circumstances.

Time will tell. Her ap is now at NVC as of 5/15 so waiting for the MNL #.

Same topic, different subject, when I fill out on-line 260 for 3yo daughter do I just leave blank all the lines re work, education, etc or should I enter N/A or DNA?

Yup you got to pay the MAN once again! You are required to pay the fee for each member that is immigrating to the states. The sooner you pay the fee the sooner her GC and SSN arrive. You can wait till after she arrives but most just pay it a few weeks before departing the Phil.

Its the final step to get conditional green cards. In two years, they will need to pay another fee to remove the conditions on the green cards.

Even for CR-1? Well I guess that's what the 'C' is, right?

So how much is that one, not that I really care? And does USCIS send us notification or something we have to put on the calendar to remember to do?

The "C" does mean conditional since you have been married for less than 2 years.

$590 right now.

Put it on your calendar. You are responsible. Don't count on USCIS informing you.
