hello there! not sure if this is the right place to post this. Anyway, I applied my US passport with my two kids. Their application are under mine as they are minor, yesterday I got an update that my application is done and was mailed but the kids are still in process. Does anyone here encounter the same issue? i sent my application with my kids application in the same folder and paid the expedite but the kids is not done yet. and they also gave me a passport application locator number, what does it mean? i called passport agency but nobody really gives me a straight answer. they also gave me a usps tracking number for my passport but it shows multiple items found.and need to clarify by putting the send date but i dont know what this mean. if anybody here has the same issue please share your experience. and also i am applying for a dual citizenship US/Filipino, how long does it takes to get the citizenship back after i apply? thanks!

When Chinook applied to reacquire her Philippines citizenship, she applied for a new Philippines passport at the same time. She received her new Philippines passport about five or six weeks after she applied.

I don't know what's going on with the children's passports, but they should be along shortly.

I believe the locator number is what you will need to provide if you happen to check your status update. You can check your passport status online to see whats going on with your kids application. Got mine and kid in 3 weeks and 4 days and that is not expedited.

thank you for the reply.

i called the us passport agency today asking an update for the kids application and he said its still in process so i ask him if there is any problem because i got mine for 5 days and the kids application is in the same envelope that i send with mine. and he really cant tell me anything than to wait for the agency to contact me so, i figured somethings up with the kids application.

I know you worried about your kids getting their passports. It's a natural feeling but having said that remember your dealing with a government entity, whether it's USA or Philippines they all have their procedures and need to dot their I's and cross their T's.

Just try and have a little more patience. Calling each day is not going to help. Just keep checking the website. USA is very good at posting information when they have something new to post. Many times, that's not what you want to hear but it is what it is.
