wrong ssn on w2

my fiancees interview is on 26th... its only now that i notice that my w2's ssn is wrong by one number instead of 620******the payroll company put 670******... my tax preparer disnt noticed it either when i filed for tax.. i let them changed it but payroll havent send it yet... now im worried.. but my employer gave me certficate of wmployment just incase the corrected w2 wont arrived on time... is that okey?

Your going to be fine. I doubt they will look at it that close. You'll need to get it corrected for IRS but for the interview your going to be fine. If your employer can give you a letter stating the error so in the event that you are asked about it you'll have something to show. I would not bring it up to the CO unless asked then present them with the letter of explanation.

i check my transcript online at the irs website and its been corrected.. can i use that instead of my actual w2 that employer handed to me?
