Embassy recommends to do the medical 5-7 days before interview to allow enough time for the files to reach USEM. Apparently some are now allowed to hand carry their medical files to the interview. Not sure how that's determined though.

Timeline

interview date is always can be re-scheduled just in case it won't get in time. First time to re-schedule is for free but for the second time and so on you needed to pay for the re-scheduling. :) Good luck!

im worried now.. becaus emy fiancees interview is on 26 and his only getting his medical tom 18-19.. so that is only 7 days :(

There has been many a case that did their medical on Monday and Friday of that same week did their interview and med records were there with no problems. Don't put so much pressure on yourself, this is suppose to be a fun time :dancing:

Nothing to be worried about. Worst scenario is that medicals aren't delivered to USEM by interview time and they just wait till it gets there before sending your fiancee's passport with visa. I have seen plenty of people do the medicals the same week as the interview and have no issues. Relax

My wife was given hers on 2nd day. They (SLEC) may not even do ground transfer as they previously did. Just make known at the beginning you would like to hand carry them. Even you don't have the meds in hand and they are not yet at USEM they will get there eventually.

I think beneficiaries are stressing too much about the interview process. As long as you have basic knowledge of your fiancé or husband, everything will go smoothly. It's really not the intention to deny visas only in the case of flagrant visible fraud. Maybe that's a thing of the past maybe not. I get the impression that the CO has made up his/her mind even before the first question. Questions just confirm their initial judgment.

Not to worry at this stage of the journey.

It is normal for te applicant to worry. I myself was stressing about it.

But it is IDEAL to have it before just in case there is a need for rescheduling... However if you think you are healthy.. Have it done atleast 2-3 days before, that is possible but is not advisable.

But for some of us who had to travel to manila to have this done and with limited budget... It is possible to do medical few days prior to interview
