Just wondering how do some of you veterans who've been through or currently going through the separation from your spouse or future spouse surviving? I've only been waiting less than 2 months and its very difficult. so i will not even try to put myself in your shoes because you guys know more than anyone else how it feels. I try to Skype with Jane every night, but the internet infrastructure is horrible in the Philippines. We also do facebook phone calls and chats. I will be returning in July to spend 2 weeks with her, but this will set me back financially. Just wondering how you deal with it. I know in the end, our waits will be worth it. Hope you long-termers get good news soon.

Hey man,

I know it's difficult to be away from her. But if I were you I would save that $1000.00 to put toward her AoS for after you marry her. The Philippines petitions normally get expedited, so the most you'll wait is 6 months. In the mean time, LINE, What's App and Viber work great over the Filipino internet. My wife and I had flawless phone calls, text and video chat using those services. This is also a good time to reconnect with friends to talk about or keep your mind off the pressures of the K-1 process. I waited 12 months to see my wife, even though she could have been here in less than 6 months, (she wanted to spend Christmas & New Years with her family one last time).

Hang in there! If you ever want ti talk, just send me a message here. Enjoy the journey.

I concentrate on my cooking, dancing, work, spend time with friends and family. I skype with my husband 4 times a week. We recommend tv shows or movies to watch alone so we can then talk about it later. We do research on the web about any theme, and educate eachother lol. We have been planning places we want to visit when he has his interview coming up, We will be celebrating our second anniversary!

He loves to exercise so lately he has been recommending exercises and sending me videos on "how-to" do this and that. Have fun with it. Keep busy.

It's hard, but this moment wont last forever.
