I know I shouldn't be checking the status of our case, but I just can't help myself... I'm a victim of my own impatience. Anyway, the date on our CEAC status hasn't updated for over a week now, still on AP, I'm not surprised though. On the other hand, I've been (somewhat less frequently) checking the ustraveldocs status on my fiance's passport. Up until yesterday it said that the passport was at the embassy, today it changed to "There is no status update available for the passport number submitted." Any idea if this means anything? ..probably not but just wanted to ask anyway.

At the interview, the consular officer said we were complete except that they needed us to submit another NBI clearance, this time with A.K.A. names from her previous marriages. So we got a 221g. We sent the new NBI, 1 day later the date on CEAC updated. This was a week ago. The status still says for us to read the 221g letter. So most likely they haven't even looked at what we sent them...

Still no progress for us. Our status is still AP with a date of Apr 30 (the day after the NBI was delivered), and the status message still says "Your case is under administrative processing. Please see the letter you received at your interview for more information. If you are required to submit additional documents, please submit them to the U.S. Embassy via any branch of 2GO courier service (Attn: Immigrant Visa Unit) together with a copy of the letter." Does your message say the same thing?

I called the embassy last week and they "escalated" our case, but I'm still waiting on their response. I'm not sure what's going to happen now that the Dept. of State got hacked and can't issue visas...

We originally bought tickets for May 19, then I rebooked them for June 20. She's going to miss her flight again for sure, so I told her to go ahead and refund the ticket for now, and we'll just buy a ticket when the visa actually arrives. I really didn't expect them to be so slow in processing 221g's, it's either that or they lost our file or misplaced our NBI... there's something strange going on for this to take 2+ months.. and this system problem isn't helping at all. I could understand if we were in AP and the message said they're reviewing our case, but no, they haven't even touched our case since they received our document. I hope you have better luck than us, I wasted a lot of money on rebooking fees, silly me, I shouldn't have booked in the first place.

When you finish processing and she is in your arms in the States, you'll look back and play Monday quarterback. It's a simple process, everything is given to you but we all have been there and have made our mistakes and wish for some do overs. Just relax. Don't be checking every hour but once a day to satisfy your curiosity. Hang in there.

BTW, on the bottom of the Embassy Letter it states: Do not finalize arrangements for travel to the United States, dispose of property, or resign from your job until a visa has been issued and delivered to you. I say this only for others to read and not make a similar mistake.

And the embassy instructions letter has that in BOLD print too.

I can't blame you or my husband, coz the ticket prize getting higher everyday. and your right hank.Im really worried now for rebooking stuff again. we spent too much already for this. prior to my interview and medical he came home last March, and then I got the 2 mos.sputum culture, which stressed me.and this system problem of usem.its going make our case in limbo, coz if their system back, of course they will print out the recent approve visas. and our ap cases .won't be touch.I'm praying that it won't happen that way, that their going also to work on our ap cases.

im on the same boat as you..interview last april 13...CO told me everything are fine they will just wait for my medical.they didnt gave any 221g paper (i undergone Personal Evaluation because of my annuled marriage from my first husband so SLEC will be the one to forward my medical result) after my interview my CEAC status became AP...i called SLEC april 14 they told me they forwarded my medical yesterday..same day of my interview. since then up to now my status is under AP..status update date never change. and also ustraveldocs after my interview says passport inside embassy ..well something like that..then after three days it came to "document delivery information". i called and they also put my case escalated..that was a month ago. until now no update...66 days waiting

please update us when anything goodnews happened at your side.

may i know whos the beneficiary on her annulment? did she undergo Personal Evaluation? coz i read about a girl name Annalyn here in visajourney who undergone Personal evaluation because shes the beneficiary of her annulment ( shes the psychological incapacity like mine) and she was also put in AP after her interview and also was asked for her NBI with AKA. status date update never change for 2 months. after 60 days case status went to READY, the nest day back to AP again then ISSUED.

im just asking if your wife is the beneficiary because i think thats the pattern. i just hope because im on my 60 days. lol
