Interview Desheduled by USCIS

Hello everyone,

I got a notice from USCIS with the following:

“This is to advise you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to cancel the previously scheduled interview on Monday, May 04, 2015 at 11:00 am for the above applicant. We regret any inconvenience this may cause.

We will advise you of any further action taken on this case, including and rescheduled interview information, under separate notice.

I will like to know if it’s normal for USCIS to reschedule interviews and also if it will be possible for me to go for my original appointment on Monday.

You would just be sent home. There were others who tried doing the same and they did not succeed.

This is not common, but it happens. It could be because of staffing issues, office closures, or because your file has not arrived at the local office.

It is very unlikely that they will interview you if you show up.

They will send you a new interview letter.
