My son has his permanent resident card but had listed his wife and children as "follow to join". Now that he had it changed to "accompany", they were instructed to go to the calendar site. They are F3 since I am the US petitioner for a son and his family. I have tried calling and so has my son. We are just told to keep checking. How are you able to see available appointments? What does it show?

Hey all,

We received our noa2 and are awaiting confirmation that nvc has received our case. Whst is the purpose of the NVC? Does anyone know how long it takes to get an appointment at tge Montreal consulate? Will my fiance be able to accompany me to the appointment?

The National Visa Center gives you a DOS (department of state) number so that they know who you are and can issue visas. Personally I would start calling the NVC next week and call every other day or so to get your case number.

Montreal doesn't have any openings at the moment for K1, but maybe by the time you get there they will. Fortunately K1 can pick their own dates and keep trying for a better one if you want. Once you have the date picked the beneficiary can book a medical.

Normally a spouse can attend.

My interview was on Wednesday and went well! I was only there about an hour and everyone was very friendly. My visa was approved and now it's just a waiting game for it to be printed in my passport. I was hoping to POE on July 1 and celebrate Independence Day with my husband's family, but I'm guessing that's not likely. More pressing is the fact that the lease on my apartment is up July 31st and I was planning to move in with my husband on August 1st. I hope everything gets resolved and I receive my visa by then, otherwise I'm not sure where I'll go with all my stuff. Fingers crossed!

I called NVC twice today, waiting on hearing back from supervisor about my police certificate issue. (I explained them with my document that I live in US, and I will pick the certificate from Canada when I go for interview)

Anyways, while I was on call, I asked if my case gets completed today, when will they schedule an appointment. And whether or not it is certain time of the month for Montreal. He responded they always schedule appointments all the time. If my case was to complete today, I would be looking at any time in August for an appointment.

I had my interview on June 16th and it went very well! After waiting about 2.5 hours, I finally had my interview and was approved! Unfortunately now there is this nonsense with their worldwide delays so I'm hoping I get my visa (and passport!!!) back soon.
