Infopass appointment tomorrow - need your advice VJers!!!

Hi All,

As some of you know, our i130 has been pending adjudication for 269 days (almost 9 months).

After 2 eService requests that returned canned replies of our case being on hold due to Background and Security Checks pending, we set up an infopass appointment.

The appointment is tomorrow and I would like to have tips from other members who have gone to Infopass appointments to make the most out of that resource.

We would like to know:

1. When did the background checks start

2. Exactly where in the process of background checks we are (if possible to know)

3. If we have passed the background checks, when can we expect to have a decision

4. If they have record of receiving a supplement to our initial filing, due to the lawyer sending incorrect information on the first delivery

4. If we are still in background checks and there is nothing to do to expedite, and there is nobody they can contact to know when would our case be adjudicated, we want to know what other avenues are there for us to shorten the time being away, considering our particular circumstances.

We have copies of the following to bring:

1. The original petition filed by lawyer (which had inaccurate info, wrong dates on forms, missing translations, etc.)

2. An incomplete copy of the supplement filed by them (which was sent roughly 4 days after the first one, and which supposedly had all the corrected information)

In those two batches, there are briographical forms, the petition form, required photographs, required payments, photocopies of birth and naturalization, marriage, divorces and other civil documents required, passports copies, greeting cards sent from my USC husband to me, transcripts or several trips taken together during marriage, including honey moon, copies of leasing contract and utilities receipts in Mexico, copies of joint bank account contract and statement, copies of medical insurance from my job showing him as my dependant and beneficiary of life insurance policies... about 80 pictures of us together and with our families in several different scenarios (wedding, honey moon, vacations, parties, family gatherings, friends gatherings)... we thought we had it all.

Is there anything else we need? Do you have any tips for us?

Thank you!

... forgot to mention the copy is incomplete because the lawyer sent it that way. According to them... "their scanner broke down".

Thanks!
