Is anyone having any issues trying to leave Philippines if you only have Advance Parole and not a greencard yet?

My wife heard of immigration in Philippines being confused by AP and looking at your US Visa and seeing it expired

I know of a Filipina that did not just recently, had no issues, but there were a couple moments of confusion, even at POE as the agent had never seen an AP card.

How long have they being doing the AP or combo card?

It used to be a piece of paper they gave you for AP and EAD

Don't know how long. I am betting since 9/11 many things that were simply pieces of paper have changed to something much harder to forge

2008 was a piece of paper

I wonder if the AOS/AP combo cards or EAD Card with a picture on them are recent, Like in the last year or so....

I traveled to the Philippines 2 months ago with the AP/combo card. Not too much problems leaving the Philippines. Like Hank said, the customs agent at LAX was not familiar with (or have never seen) the combo card and was asking that old paper with photo from me. Good thing I brought my AP NOA2 letter and that little glossy paper that the combo card was attached to. He said "Ah this I'm familiar with!".... Only then did they lead me into the office to get the form saying I was paroled back into the US. I think it took me about 40 mins to get cleared (and thats with the office being almost empty)
