Hi,
Thank for the great Forum, its informative. i have two questins please
- Is three years the maximum you get on TN visa?
- Can i apply for immegrant visa while im in the states with TN visa?

you can renew the TN indefinitely, I believe, but you can't adjust status to LPR (green card), unless you marry a US citizen.

Thank you for your reply, i undrestood my kids can go to public school but my wife will never be able to work. i'll enter the states with my job offer/letter, and its up to the border officer to decide if im eligible or not, correct?
what about the social insurance number which allows me to work? do i apply after i arrive?

Not from TN. You will have to switch to another status that allows dual intent (like H-1B). TN does not. It's meant for temporary stays and then returning to your home country.

Your employer may be able to petition for you under another visa/status-- not TN-- if the proper criteria is met.
