Visa Journey helped me find an error on the AOS in February 2015. In March 2015 I was also able to help my spouse get the correct birth records required by NVC by reading the Nigerian thread on Visa Journey.

April 2, 2015- Case is in Supervisor Review because the DS260 form was sent electronically January 6, 2015 but hasn't been reviewed as of yet.

April 17, 2015- I finally have the 3rd N/A next to the Affidavit of Support fee. I spoke to a supervisor yesterday (Thursday). She told me she would have the case reviewed by the end of the week. It looks like she kept her word. I will call again tonight to confirm case complete :)

Bring a book to read. Plenty of folk to talk to . DO NOT take pictures of the embassy (Its against the law). There are chairs you can rent and sit on. You could be there a couple of hours to all day (8 hours ). So prepare yourself and pack something to eat and drink. here are people that will be happy to run and get you whatever you want for a fee.

Dwheels 76 you have given me excellent advice. Sitting waiting for hours for the interview approval, it would be easy to take a picture with a cell phone and not know it's illegal. Don't people make movies about that type of thing? Leaving the US, going to another country and getting in trouble for something they take for granted in the US...WOW! You are helpful to so many people. Thank you for helping me. I really appreciate it.

It is posted all over around the consulate ( Lagos isn't an embassy ) And they are quite willing to enforce it in their area. If you also your spouse to take your passport you may have issues getting in to the USC side to relieve yourself and have to resort to the facility available in the parking area. If you sit in one of the rented chairs and obviously aren't Nigerian you can get all sorts of stories ( I had one young man that was denied a DV visa repeat his story to me several times as if I had some sort of pull to go tell them to reconsider ) I had a brother with me to help pass the time. We made a game of betting on people entering and exiting on their outcome ( The spring in their step or lack of it usually told the story )

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I am actually nervous now and I have never been nervous to travel. This would be my 3rd visit. The interview will be the longest time we would be apart but in the same area. To think about relieving myself in an area in the parking lot...OMG....I'm freaking out. I try not to use the facilities at work. Jiminy Cricket, there is a lot of thinking to do. Plus, if the temperature is above 80 or 85 I need the A/C or my attitude slowly starts to change. I'm trying not to freak out but I'm laughing at myself because I'm FREAKING OUT. LOL! I'm also thinking about how upset I would be if I’m needed at the interview but wasn’t there. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

Send him in with a copy of your passport showing your entry stamp and go to a camping store and look at cooling devices. Freeze water in a bottle or two before you leave. Dress in natural material ( synthetics are hot ) Take a fan as a matter of last resort . If you seriously overheat wet your hair ( or a hat/bandana ) as your brain overheats the quickest

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

Looking for cooling devices sounds great. I am so glad I asked this question. We have a lot of preparation to do. It’s a good thing I have natural hair, I will keep wetting my afro puff to keep cool. I had a battery operated fan last time I went to Nigeria. Somehow it broke when I returned to the states. I will buy another one. You're right, I’m already thinking about what to wear the day of the interview. I want to be comfortable with lightweight clothing.
