I am in a similar situation for an IR-1 visa and it is taking along time. My husband was given a 221g for proof of domicile. I sent it lease agreement, school registration etc end Jan, received by consulate early Feb. They did nothing about it. Then I moved back to the US (from Canada) and sent proof of actual reestablishment of domicile, received by the consulate March 19. I am still waiting.

Others who had simpler matters did get their passports back within 2-4 weeks.

i hope your luck is better than mine!

I needed some other documents to be sent after my interview at MTL for K-1 Visa, how long does it take MTL to process the paperwork?

Does anyone have any experience with them on this situation?

Okay, so, I looked at the website, and it shows that it has since been updated since March 23, to April 27th. They received the files on April 17th. The update still says "Administrative Process" but the date has been updated. Is this a good sign?

Status Updated Date: 27-Apr-2015
