Hello all,

First I want to say that this forum is very nice and I love reading all the discussions.

I will apply for a tourist visa myself to visit my boyfriend in Arkansas.

We shall spend two weeks together and then I shall return.

Can I ask please, do you have to sign the DS-160 form first and then pay the tourist visa fee or it doesn't matter? Because I will go to the town ( I live in a village ) and I want to take my photo, pay the fee and then complete the DS-160 form with the picture taken.

Thank you!

I did it a long time ago. But you have to printout the DS-160 form and some embassies that you have to pay online and some others you have to pay at the embassy.

Would you care to share which country you are come from?

Thank you. I come from Bulgaria. And here we pay the visa fee via bank transfer. I am just wondering whether the form has to be complited first , but it didn't say anywhere. I have printed out the fee slip and everything.

Usually you have completed it first since DS-160 form you can do online and bring the confirmation form when you have interview.

Yes but would it hurt if I pay the fee first , Go home, complete the DS form , set an interview date and bring the DS conformation and all the documents?

I believe you have to put your confirmation code of DS-160 form when you pay for visa fee. I might be wrong though since I paid visa fee after submitted DS-160 and directly to the staff at the U.S. embassy by showing all my docs also this was for B-2 visa application back in 2010 since there a lot things have been changed after a few years.
