There's a confirmation number listed on the IV application confirmation page that's printed (emailed) after completing the DS 260. It's 10 characters long. Is this what you need?

It's on the DS-260 confirmation page on CEAC, in the bottom right hand corner. Should be a combination of letters and numbers (at least mine is).

it is the confirmation number you got after completing the online DS-260 form. It starts with "AA00" plus combination of numbers and letters. We actually called their customer support to confirm.

One can only wonder why they asked to provide "DS-260 Number" instead of asking for "DS-260 confirmation number". Did someone forget to include the word "confirmation?"
