I would start the convo like this.

You: I need this very soon. Can you please help me?

Them: We're very busy. Come back in 2 weeks.

You: I know you are busy but will appreciate it very much if I could get it in, say, 3 days?

Them: No way. 2 weeks!

You [look around and see no one else is looking]: I have something that I would like for you to have so you can take your family out to a nice dinner. [slip them a small white envelope with VND 500,000 tucked inside].

Them [take a peek inside the envelope]: OK. I will have it ready in 3 days for you.

or

Them [500,000 is too little]: We're pretty busy. Maybe in one week.

You [softly]: I really need it in 3 days. How about if I get you something else for lunch, too? [slip another 250,000 or 500,000]

Them: OK. 3 days.

You: :dancing::dancing:

I Love that ...This how my fiancee did

Unfortunately, coffee money won't help us in the boat we're in... my wife studied abroad so they had to send the DOJ #2 form up to Hanoi for verification... nothing we can do, apparently.

Hi, may I ask if you have done or know any connection in Ho Chi Minh City to obtain a police certificate? My wife applied for it almost a month ago and still not receiving it. We need it badly to submit our last documents for VISA here in the US. Do you know anyone or can advise us what to do? Or how to give them coffee money? Please help if you know. Thank you

Ask this person 0914418968 - Uyen. She's helping me to apply for my son's Vietnamese passport because we have no Ho Khau or Tam tru. It would be impossible to do it without connections

Thank you so much. Is she charging you a large amount of fees?

She charged me 5 trieu. Seems reasonable for her fees and money coffee at both cong an phuong and the immigration place. Your police certificate should cost less than that

Police Record is also known as Criminal Record or Judicial Record.

1 is for Vietnamese who are outside of VN and VN student visa applicants applying inside of VN

2 is for Vietnamese applicants of any other visa types applying within VN
