Ok...minor, (major?) hiccup. I downloaded the visa interview requirements and steps. Currently, my step-daughter's mother is here in the US with me. Can we have a family member accompany my step-daughter to the interview? She already has power of attorney from the PI government.

how old is the daughter? as of my experience i flew back to the ph for my kids interview. my parents have a power of atty from me to process all the paperworks needed but i don't think family member can accompany to the interview unless the daughter is old enough to answer the questions,Interview is the most important thing in the process, this is the time where they can say yes or no to your application. Goodluck! try to contact the embassy they can give you the exact answer that us here in the forum.

thanks for your response. I understand the importance of the interview. We are kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place right now. In a perfect world, all 3 of us would be there for the interview. I doubt that will be possible in our case. Ugh.

Yes, an adult can accompany her to the medical and the interview (for children below 18yo).

Does anyone have any experience they can offer? This scares me.
