Hello everyone,

hope you're doing good. Does anybody know what are the documents NVC require applicants to submit for a K-1 visa? And how applicants submit them? by mail or email? I got my NOA1 from TSC on Sep 22, 2014 and i estimate NVC has my case these days. If I know what documents do I need to submit to NVC in advance, maybe I can save sometime.

Thank you in advance

Hi,

For the K1 Visa you don't submit anything to NVC. The NVC will process your case, assign you a case number and ID and Invoice Number if applicable (You need to call them to get these numbers. I would say 10-15 days after your case was sent by the USCIS) and send your case to the Embassy the applicant will have her/is interview. Depending on the Country you will receive instructions to submit documents or whatever they request before the applicant's interview.

If you don't have your NOA2 (Approval of your I129F) your case hasn't been adhjucated yet so it's still under USCIS jurisdiction and once they make a decision on your case they will send it to the NVC. You can check online (When the USCIS sends your case you will be able to see something like: Your case was sent to Department of State and etc)!!

Good luck.
