Hi...

I hope you can help.

My fiance is now with me in the states (K1) and we're going to be married on April 25th. This will begin the AOS process. However, we never received her NOA2 at any point and we're still waiting.

We have an NOA 1, form 797 and an I-797C form but nothing with NOA2 indicated. It never came. I checked to see where we could get it resent but have been unable to find any information about where to ask. We need this for her AOS soon.

Her K1 was granted on march 19th and we're in the states now but nothing has come. What am I suppose to do now?? Where or who do i contact and how??

After reading a lot about this I guess this isn't uncommon for them to "forget" considering if you want a copy you have to pay a lot of money for it.

We also have all the other letters pertaining to the original approval of her visa, including a letter from the Department of State telling us that the NVC received her APPROVED visa and that they forwarded it to the US embassy in Manila. It gives her case number and receipt number in this letter.

Can someone please help us out real soon???

Doug

Do not wait on an NOA 2 hardcopy, as most people never get one any more. My friend just approved in January, has never gotten one.

Take a photo copy of the test/e mail, or what ever showing your NOA 2 approval, it is all you need!

So you never received a letter stating "your petition was approved and sent to the embassy....."? There is no paper saying NOA2, it appears as I-797 too on the upper right of the paper. Read the letters you received. If you really didn't get it, I've read on here that some contacted/emailed their service center. Here is a link http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/379210-noa2-never-received/

NOA2 is the second letter you should have received from USCIS during the I-129F processing. It simply says in the upper right corner, "I-797, Notice of Action". In the box labeled Notice Type it says: "Approval Notice, Valid from ...(dates)". In the main paragraph body it starts by saying: "The above petition has been approved. We have sent the original visa petition to the Department of State National Visa Center(NVC)....". At the bottom of the page should be the USCIS Service Center address on the left and a bar code on the right. Maybe you received it and didn't recognize it for what it was. Hope this helps.
