Questions about updating status

Hello everyone!

I filed my case(F2A) in August 2013 as a permanent resident. All my documents had already arrived the US embassy in Guangzhou China. Unfortunately, we experienced F2A retrogression in June 2014, so my case has stayed in the embassy for almost 1 year. I estimate that we can schedule our interview around May or June 2015.

So my questions will be :

I just passed the citizenship test. I would like to know if I needed to change my status since my case is already in the US embassy. I know it's no way to contact NVC because they have already sent my case to the embassy.

Do I contact the embassy directly? Will that delay my current case progress?

Can I follow the current process and when my husband go to the interview then show them my citizenship certificate?

My pointe of view:.. I think you have to inform us embessy... after that u can follow instruction from embassy ... embessy guides to you regarding ur petition its important or not... honesty is best policy..
