VAWA - how long until.....help?

Hi everyone,

I applied for vawa in august 2014. My case was received on august 29 2014. My i-360 vawa petition was approved november 2014. on February 2015, my i-485 AOS was transferred to a new office for jurisdiction.

For those have already went to the interview, how long after the i485 was transferred to a new office for jurisdiction did you have to wait for an interview date??

An attorney told me that if after 45 days from the i485 being transferred and i dont hear anything, i should do an info pass.

can anyone tell me how long does it take to receive an interview date after the i485 is transferred?

I live in southern california and my local office would be in santa ana.

Also, what to expect at the interview, thank you (U.S citizen spouse)


08/2014- VAWA Application filed concurrently with the i-485
08/29/2014 VAWA i-360 Received
10/2014- Biometrics done

11/2014 VAWA i-360 Approved
2/2015- i-485 Transferred to a new office for jurisdiction
3/2015- ????

It seems your case is with the NBC,once the case is approved Vermont ships the file to the NBC and after 2/4.months the NBC ships the file to the local office and after 2/3 months you will have interview.

All my VAWA cases the aliens took 4/7months to attend the AOS interview.
