After 6.5 months we recieved an rfe on March 19th, it was very general and just said resend everything we already sent. Does anyone know how long it usually takes for them to reply to rfe? It said they had till June 11th, but I'm hoping it's much sooner than that. Anyone with experience on this? It's to vsc btw

They don't reply it, result will be either approval or interview. Timeline is varied, my I-751 was approved with 10 business days after RFE response was delivered. Good luck.

04/15/2015: Passed Interview

05/05/2015: Oath letter was sent

05/22/2015: Oath Ceremony

Is there an average waiting time for a decision ? Any experiences where it took months?

As NancyNguyen already indicated, the timelines vary. If you take some time to read through all the threads here that are based on monthly filing you can see the RFE request dates and response times and results. Go to the last page and look at the most recently updated list.

USCIS - 40 DAYS
2012-10-30: FedEx delivered I-130 to Chicago Lockbox Mail Room
2012-11-01: NOA1 by email - MSC
2012-11-02: $420 (x3) debited from our account
2012-11-05: NOA1 hard copies received, Priority Date 2012-10-30
2012-12-11: NOA2

NVC - 26 DAYS
2013-01-02: Rec'd case#, IIN, BIN & OPTIN emails for EP sent
2013-01-03: Submitted DS-261 (x3)
2013-01-07: AOS bills invoiced and paid & OPTIN for EP accepted for each of us

they will send you a notice 3 weeks before the date of the interview

good luck

In my case, the interview notice was sent 6 weeks in advance. But mine was a weird situation. (There was no communication from USCIS after the biometrics appointment for 9 months, until the interview letter.)
