can we submit iv packet eventhough we havent paid the iv fee yet and havent filled up ds 260 online?can we also just use the aos barcode just in case

Yeah you can, people do it, but it is not what NVC asks for.

yes you can that is what I did. It will save you some waiting time. You will be able to pay the IV fee and fill out the DS-260 application, while you are waiting for them to review your documents. The NVC is saying it takes up to 60 days for review of documents

The NVC does ask that both packets be sent together. So how do you send them together if you send them to separate addresses?

you will need two AOS barcode cover sheet include one with each packet and the NVC document checklist

After you collect your Affidavit of Support form(s) and financial evidence in Step 4, and supporting documents in Step 5, you must submit all of your forms, financial evidence, and photocopies of your original civil documents inONE package to the NVC. Your case may be significantly delayed if you fail to submit all of your documents in one package.

It is quicker to use the AOS cover sheet on both packet. Place the packets in separate manila envelopes and write what each one is IV or AOS, then mail together in larger shipping envelope to address on the AOS cover sheet. Once there the NVC will send each packet to the correct department

yes. you should of mail both packets together, that is what NVC is requesting now. Go ahead and send in the iV packet. the 60 days review of your documents will not start until they have both packets with all the documents

hi, im curious about what you said that the aos and iv package should have different cover letter. I just submitted my aos and supporting documents 2 weeks ago but i only used 1 cover letter for the entire package and it has the checklist on it. I was not instructed to put 2 cover letter. May i know where i can find the instruction saying that i need to have another cover letter for iv package? thank u

I did not say you had to use different cover letter for each packet. I said the cover letter for each packet is different but you can use either the AOS cover letter or the IV cover letter for each packet. It is easier to Use the AOS cover letter with each packet, The info is on the payment portal under next steps you can click on print document cover sheet and see the difference, but again you can use either cover sheet for either packet

I have a doc. cover sheet that I received from some gov. dept., bar code at top, bar code at bottom. There are boxes which I should check on this page of what doc's. are enclosed, unavailable or not applicable. There are 4 parts on this sheet, 1 part is my info. "financial doc's" (AOS, etc.) another part is wife's info. "supporting doc's". Is each of these parts/sections considered to be a packet? To me it is a part/section of the packet, one packet!! Why do they say mail the 2 packets together when on this sheet everything is listed together and there is no mention of separate packets for the 2 parts.

In the supporting documents section, they ask for Petitioners Documents, I am the petitioner, what documents are they asking for?
