AOS fee not processing. Help!

Hi,

Quick background: I had my form I-130 approved for my wife and received my NVC case number.

I had a quick question. After receiving the NVC case number, I filled the Agent form and paid the affidavit of support fee (on the 4th of March) via debit card. Although the receipt said that I should have the affidavit of support form and the IV application form available in 3-5 business days, I still don't have them available (and it's the 16th of March today - it's been 12 days and they still didn't receive the fee?). It still says "in process" next to the affidavit of support form and I'm not able to pay the IV application form fee.

Have I done something wrong?

it takes them a while to review the ds-261 choice of agent. they need to do that before you can pay the IV fee and fill out the DS-260 application form. You can call them and see if they will do it over the phone.

Hi J,

Thank you for the response. Would you have any idea why the AOS fee payment might still be "in process"?

Also, I have noticed that you sent the AOS and IV package before paying the IV bill. Can we send the IV package before getting the bill for it?

I had the same issue. I paid my AOS fee on Jan 16, 2015 and payment was processed by Jan 20,2015. I called the NVC and asked if it was ok to send my package without paying the IV fee and the NVC told me it was fine and to submit all documents required. Regarding the IV fee, it took about 3-4 weeks for the NVC to allow me to pay after i had paid the AOS fee. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

yes you can send in both packets before the iv fee is paid just print two AOS barcode cover sheet from the payment portal and include one with each packet, also include the nvc checklist. Send them together to the address on the AOS barcode cover sheet
