INTERVIEW AFTER AP

Please help and clarification is needed here. A friend went for interview last year October at the Lagos consulate, he was given a contact sheet and put on AP. He got a call from the embassy today and he was told that he has been scheduled for an interview in two weeks time by 7am. He asked the caller how will he enter the embassy since there's no email, he was told to come with any document that shows his name and case number.

Please what should he expect, has he been approved? Is that good news?

Sorry I do not have a response to your question however, we have the same story.The Interview was in Octoer 2014 in Lagos. A contact sheet was given. then nothing for months, except when an email was sent, then the status was updated.

The last two weeks the status was updated a fewtimes without emails being sent to them, but we did not hear anything.

If you dont mind please.I have a couple of questions.

Did the status change to AP on the ceac site ours never did?

Did they contact the people on the sheet?

Did the staus update today?

I ask because he is in an area that has vey bad reception, and we are concerned that they are trying to contact him. I have to dial over and over to connect, or use alternative means to communicate.

A second interview means just that...a second interview, it does not mean the visa has been approved. Depending on what the embassy found

during AP they may have further questions. Often cases are returned without second interviews so at least you have hope to get approved at the

next interview.

No it does not mean approval. Means you are given a interview. You will be told the result at the interview . I have seen it go both ways approval and denial. Just hope for the best.

Exactly like the others said, it could go either way because from experience, I can tell you they've been digging around to see if you story holds up and they(embassy) must have sent someone to your residence at some point. Hope for the best

No, that is not what I said. I said many cases were returned without a second interview ( including ours) but others who get a second interview

can also get returned. I know someone with 3 or 4 interviews who ended up getting returned. My gut feeling in your case is that you have a

better chance being approved with a second interview.

Every case is different and we can not generalize this.
