As fiancé it's not mandatory to go to the interview with the beneficiary fiancée; I would like to know that if we petitioners do not go to the interview, would that cause a denial from the consul?

Depends on what side of the bed the interviewer woke up on that morning, but why chance it....go to the interview it shows more of your commitment to the pending marriage and process.

This question is asked often, and there are two answers: "It depends," and "there is NEVER any negative outgrowth if a petitioner is on or near the consular premises during the beneficiary's visa interview.

Well before the interview phase, and optimally before filing an I-129F or I-130 petition, one should go atop any VJ page, click "Embassy Info" and "Reviews: Embassy," and study both the overall trends and the recent reviews. Pay closest attention to the worst stories. Also search your regional VJ forum (in your case, the Mexico/Latin/South America forum) for relevant threads.

If you have the ability to go to the embassy with your finacee for the interview, then why chance it... just do it!!

To answer your question, it is not required though. I have dealt with Colombians alot over the last couple years, and even inside the US Embassy you find employees who are more or less just like regular Colombians on the outside of the embassy..

You have your good Colombians with a good heart. And you have those Colombians who get jealous easily and will do anything they can to delay you or throw you under the bus.
