Authorities No Longer Shielding DAPA-Eligible Immigrants From Deportation

by Brianna Lee, International Business Times, February 27, 2015

Some excerpts:

"Immigration officials are no longer screening out undocumented immigrants who may be eligible for deportation relief under President Barack Obama’s most recent executive action, following a Texas judge’s injunction last week on the deferred-action programs. Some immigration lawyers say the policy shift has made some immigrants vulnerable to deportation again, even though they might have been otherwise protected under the president's executive action on immigration. Some of them are being detained and face deportation proceedings, even though they should be allowed to stay under the Obama policy."

"Immigrants who aren’t in detention or don’t have pending deportation orders won’t likely be affected. Those who qualify for Obama’s 2012 DACA program also are unaffected. But immigrants already on ICE’s radar may be facing a heightened risk of deportation -- and some immigration lawyers say they already are seeing the effects."

“The problem with the priority memo is the same problem with the [2011 memo], in that they were not orders, they were guidelines,” Johnson said. “ICE officials leave it to the discretion of officers around the country.”

“What President Obama said at the town hall meeting is that [DAPA-eligible immigrants] are not in danger of being removed. And that’s clearly not true,” he said. “Relying on the prioritization memo still means that deferred-action people will be deported.”

Then how come the Obama folks are harassing border agents for doing their jobs?

It should not be news that there is a huge divide in America as to the people who are here, the people who want to be here, and the people who are here and disregard our immigration laws right in our face.

That run on sentence describes my feeling of today's immigration that our Congress states is "broken", but does not fix and of course never agrees as to what is broken, and what needs to be fixed.

This is a good post, but I am quite sure there are many out there that want to suppress the viewpoints of some of our members. For example, I clicked the OPs link, and saw the following photo:

What immediately comes to my mind is:

1: Ok. Who the hell are you?

2. Are you American?

3. What are you angry about.....

But then, the reality comes to mind. It's a photo of people who think because they are already living in the USA illegally, that they should be considered Americans. For me, I call out every single one of George Carlin's seven dirty words right in their face. And add with a sippy drink, "You ain't, you ain't, you ain't". Furthermore, you should probably never be because you broke laws where people did a lot less than you were permanently barred from ever coming.

Obama has transformed into Barney, a purple dinosaur that helped children to learn useful stuff on the TV.

I can't wait until he transforms into PeeWee Herman, a white-stick-thin man that used humor to teach children to learn useful stuff on the TV.

Damn it... ICE was told to deliver the lobster tails garnished with Beluga to the illegals ..... and I have hotline reports that they only had drawn butter on their lobster tails. Some even suggested it was rock lobster and not Maine.

SO.. Its time to VETO ANY NEW LAW that does not contain UNLIMITED LOBSTER TAILS FOR DACA riders..... and if the government shuts down.. its those Republicans fault for not addressing the moral imperative for DACA SEAFOOD needs.
