So Lizzy - you're a UK citizen; I'm a UK citizen. My passport runs out in July and I really need to get it re-done - how in the blue heck did you do it from here by mail? I remember vaguely reading something about it about a year ago but that involved complex procedures and going to Minneapolis for photographs (I think that's the embassy I need to be using.....?). So pray tell - what did they get you to do and what did you need to do it with?

My sons new passport arrived last week i dont see no chip looks just like my old passport.

It might just depend on the passport facility. I know some facilities are using the RFID chips right now, and some haven't switched over yet. That could be why your son, Eric, doesn't have a passport with an RFID chip in it.

Is it a 'chip' or a magnetic strip? My passport is about 3.5 years old but my wife just got a new Philippine passport in her married name. I'll have to ask her what hers looks like.

Claudeth had to get a new passport at the end of last year and they really made us dance. I am glad we took all of our paperwork, they kept making us make copies of this and that. Her passport looks that same as to old one.
