Hello My Lovely AP People,

Everyone is submitting their demands and I believe it is time we submit ours. We need to send letters to our Congressman, President and to the current court hearing issues on the DAPA about our demands.

I feel, if temporary protective status is given to illegals, why can't our spouses get TPS too?! They can wait in the U.S. on their AP to finish and then we can adjust status for them to get their green cards.

Everybody is banding together but we are the group that is left out. We should submit our demands too.

What do you think?

DAPA was temporarily stopped by a judge in Texas. And the illegals already entered and are in the US. It would cost too much money to round them all up ... They aren't going to let anyone in the country while waiting on AP.

Nothing will be done about AP times especially as the fanatics keep acting up.

Many ppl are left out of reform, theres the US vets with non violent offenses

former LPRs deported with no waivers..also ppl with lifetime bars due to Congress

1996 laws. These are ppl who paid SS and tax for years.

Everyone trying to get in here thinks about themselves or family which is a natural

human behavior, however some seem to want to get their ppl and themselves in then

close the doors....immigration will always e a sticky subject, but if we could come back

in 100 years I am almost sure another country is where ppl will e tryimg to get into

all U can do is wait....good luck on your journey

People who have spouses from areas that are not known to fanaticism should not have to endure such lengthy waits.

We can't blame this type of discrimination on terrorism and security when we have over 4 million illegals in our country.

AP/AR is just a legal form of discrimination. That's it. Marry people from westernized countries or wait for your spouse for 5 years and we hope your marriage goes to the c r a p p e r.

its not discrimination. To quote my immigration lawyer " the immigration system was created to keep people out, not make it easy for everyone to live here"

The government is doing their job. It might be super slow, but they are following guidelines and procedures that were there wayyyyyyy before you married your spouse. It is annoying how long they take to complete background checks, but you can't call it discrimination. Their job is to protect this country. Nothing is stopping you from moving overseas. You were free to marry anyone. I waited a really long time for my I-130 to be approved and my husband is from a teeny tiny country with really good relations with the US and they don't even have a military. I never once thought it was discrimination. Just super slow government workers and a broken process. AP is AP.

Protect the country??? How with over 4 million illegally here already?? Did they conduct background checks on these people? Did these people go through AP? Did these people get physicals? Did someone show support for them so they will not become a "public charge?"

I don't think so. Saying AP is for security checks is world class donkey on a stick. AP is for them to keep out people they don't want to come. You are right on that part. That part is clear. Discrimination.

Ap isnt security, is governement people working wrong.

In my case i am from a catholic country, no fanastic problem.

I have sent all papers required by them, and they dont work on my case.

My last document i sent it on january 22 and they said to rhe sanator office that i need send that paper for them process my case, but they already have that paper, but they are lazy working.

Ap is discrimination, and some actions shuold be taken

Thank you! And because we are trying to do the process legally and the right way, they know we are not going to make a fuse about it. We should make a fuse. We should demand our spouses are treated fairly in the process and are given the exact same treatment as everyone else.

I agree undocumented should not be processed before those following the

rules in or outside, having to pay fees and medical while ppl sneak in with

things like measles and also not vaccinated...the fact still remains migrating

for all is a privilege and not a right

During our dark, despairing days dealing with the baastard Guayaquil consulate, Mrs. T-B.-to-be and I grimly agreed that if she were an illegal, she would be here already and would be on top of the world.

I doubt sincerely that we'll change the system. The media, and therefore the public, focus highly on illegal immigration. People care little about the legal immigration process (quite broken though it is) and know even less about it. I concluded some time ago that we have to muster our own resources and allies and concentrate solely on our personal cases. Our struggles and victories can be used as moral and sometimes practical support for others here who are in the same boat.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I am just as angry about the illegals entering and not having to go through all the background checks and immunizations etc.... AP is AP. It is extra checks and IMO possibly a test to see if the relationship can stand the test of time.

Instead of getting angry at AP, focus on doing something about the illegals. Vote and write letters.
