For NOA2, do I have to continuously check the USCIS Case Status on the website or will they send you a text message and/or e-mail once the status has changed again/updated, like they did for NOA1?

That's the million dollar question. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't, sometimes they text you several times about the same thing! Nothing is consistent. Have you registered on their site? You can sign up to text and email alerts whether you receive them will remain to be seen from the new website they created in November.

Time to reset the tick tock clock again.   Roll my eyes.

Haha! I assume I signed up since they sent me a text message for NOA1? If not, would you be able to post the direct link to where I could sign up? Thanks much!!

Just to let you know once you create an account, you then have to physically turn on the alerts, it's not automatic and don't lose the answers to your security questions like I did as you will get locked out!

I couldn't remember my husbands name, how I had written it, e.g had I put his first name, first name and surname, whole name. I kept emailing them to unlock me but they simply ignored the 4 emails I sent. So, I had to open a new account with a new email address and I had to delete my history from Google, as it kept logging me in to my old account automatically, which then would lock me out again. After I finally sorted it out, I found there was nothing I didn't already know, that nothing had changed with case status. Lol!! :)

But they will definitely send you a hard copy NOA2 via the mail, correct?

don't check everyday like some!! ( me) you will go crazy :blink:  :blink::blink::blink: . I would say when it gets close to the 5months check .. but its all up to you.. I checked daily for a while then changed it to just checking every other day then to once a week haha, you would think it would start by one a week then get higher but I did it backwards and then one day wooopp it was there !

I find myself checking, several times a day for my AOS statu and its futile, the backlog is twice as long as K1, so I don't know why I do it, but its a bit like taking my vitamins daily, have to get my dose! I can't go crazy, I was crazy a long time before my relationship with the USCIS website! ha ha ha ha!
