I haven't gotten to that stage in the process yet but I have read up on it a little to prepare and from what I understand, you bring with you the receipt page you received when completing the DS-260.

I would bring with me the copy of the police transcript along with other proof of relationship, just in case they ask for it. As I understand, you should also bring originals of wedding certificate. I am also planning on bringing my husband's birth certificate as proof of him being a US citizen, just in case.

Good luck with your interview.

AS far as the indian PCC's go the passport office should have issued you with 2 copies of the PCC and a stamping in your passport.

Thereby you have sent one and should have one for the interview.

If you don't it is highly recommended you speak to the passport office to give you one more as without the PCC the consulate will not let you in for the interview itself.

I spoke to an NVC agent over the phone Fri because my cousin got his interview date few days ago regarding Police Clearance Certificate. I asked it hasn't been an year yet so do we need another Police Clearance Certificate. He said I would just recommend it just in case the consulate asks for it. There are two things one is passport clearance certificate and one is Police clearance certificate...I would recommend that you get another Police Clarence certificate even though if it hasn't been a year...

The validity of the PCC is one year from the date of issue. You can check the date of issue on the stamping that was done at the back of your passport. Therefore, if your PCC is valid at the time of the interview there are no issues. As for Police clearance and passport clearance certificates (as mentioned by @Jot18) only the PCC issued by the passport seva kendra or Regional passport Office (RPC) is required.
