Hello everyone!

This week I got my interview date for the k-1 visa and I couldn't be happier!

So I have a few questions regarding the ds-230 form:

#14

"Spouse's Maiden or Family Name"

I have never been married before, so that doesn't apply to me right? Can I just say "N/A" ? Or in this case "none"?

#32

"List all employment for the last 10 years"

I've been working for the same company for the past 10 years, but 2 years ago I got promoted and my "job title" changed. Should I write the period with my former occupation and then with my present one? Or you think it's irrelevant?

"In what occupation do you intend to work in the united states"

I'm not sure what to write. Can I just say "to be determined"?

#33

"List all educational institutions attended"

In Brazil, we have different names for "high school" etc and our educational system is different. I'm not sure what to write on "Course of Study" and "Degree or Diploma".

"Professional associations to which you belong"

What does that mean????

I think that'd be all. Thank you so much for your help!!

14:

You would list the family last name - so fiance's last name

32:

So I would say same company but list the two different job titles.

As for what you intend to work in...I just put in the same industry that I was in before I moved. I think they just want to make sure that you've thought about setting roots down in the US.

I would just try to be as equivalent as possible. So as long as you list all the educational institutions by years you should be fine.

Professional associations is like for example if you were an accountant you might be part of a CPA/CFA certified group. You'll know if you are :)

For course of study you can put General education or college prep. If you finished high school (segundo grau) you can put that you received a diploma.
