Hello everyone,

NVC has sent my application to the embassy.

Now I am trying to get all documents together and forms ready.

My question is: What forms do we need to fill out for Packet 3 for Frankfurt, Germany?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Frewchen,

as we just got our NOA2 yesterday, I was wondering about the next steps.

So I know they will send it to the NVC and that we can call them in about 2 weeks to ask for the case number.

You stated "NVC has sent my application to the embassy." - how do you know this info? Will they tell you when you ask them for your case number?

Or is it a status update like the one we got for our NOA's?

Thanks in advance! :)

NOA 1: 08/26/2014

NOA 2: 03/23/2014 --> 7 months wait (Texas Service Center)

Hi!

Yes, you need to start calling them around 10 - 14 days after your NOA2 for the case number. It will take approx. 1-2 weeks for them to process.

I kept checking CEAC status and at some point it changed from at NVC to in TRANSIT. That's how I knew that it's on its way to the consulate in Frankfurt. No status updates will happen at USCIS anymore.

To speed up the process, make sure you have all the documents on the checklist ready!

Good luck :)

What visa is your friend applying for?

Basically you should make sure all required and applicable documents from the checklist will be in the same envelope.

I don't quite understand your question about the financial and supporting part.

Do you mean the affidavit of support form?

Hi Frewchen,

Could you tell me what the CEAC is? Is this the traveldocs.com site?

Or is it another site that I can check?

How did you know that your file had arrived in Frankfurt?

And how long did you wait for packet 3?

Sorry for all the questions !

Try: https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/

I was able to get a hold of the tracking number, but also I received an email from Frankfurt.

After the embassy received the files, it was around another week for everything.

Good luck!

Hi Frewchen,

Danke schön!

Unfortunately, the CEAC doesn't show any results for me. Apparently, the number I have from the NVC doesn't work there, and I have received no email from the consulate, though I know my file must be there!

So, waiting yet again... :clock:

Hallo zusammen! Hi everyone!

(I am the petitioner, in the US)

I know this has been discussed, but as we would like to send our packet 3 asap, I want to be absolutely sure about what I'm doing.

Can you tell me:

1. I have read nothing on any official list about submitting extra evidence of the relationship at this point. Is there any reason that I need to send this type of thing to my fiancée?

This goes for other things like a copy of the complete I-129F packet. Does she need these right now? I could send them by slow snail mail instead, if she doesn't need them now.

2. I know others have sent additional information in, but is it sufficient if I only send:

-the I-134,

- my 1040 tax return from last year,

- the letter from my employer, (checklist does not ask for this)

- check stub or pay stub type document? (checklist does not ask for this)

Thanks again! This place is a goldmine :)
