I had my k1 interview in London on the 17th September and was approved. I was told that I should have my passport returned to me in 5 days. As of yet no sign of it and upon checking ceac it says ready for my interview and last updated on the 23rd September. I am planning on leaving on 14th October but am holding off on booking my flight until I have my passport with the visa in hand but it is painful watching the airfares creep up in price.

Should I be worried, or am I just being impatient?

There is a thread showing how long it took others. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/550974-interview-date-to-visa-in-hand-how-long-2015-data/?p=7831366

The longer times in mid June are when the government halted visa printing worldwide.

So now that I have had my visa approved, how do I check the status - is it still on the immigrant visa check on the CEAC website using my LND number or on the nonh immigrant check using my AA number?

With the LND number, it'll go to administrative processing then issued after that. Probably next week. I was there yesterday too :D congrats on the approval!

Things are going to go fast when Tim gets here so I worked on filing out the paperwork for AOS today. It was a totally different feeling than doing the paperwork for the K-1. I still had to look some things up to make sure I understood what they were asking for but this time I knew where all the resources could be found and kinda felt like I knew what the heck I was doing. It was a good feeling. Once again the VJ guides rocked as well as all the information I was able to search in other posts. Now I think I will have a beer to celebrate!

Have a great weekend and good luck to everyone this week!

Thanks!

RE AOS paperwork - I think I will start looking at that ahead of leaving as it will be good to get it filed as soon as possible after getting married. I can't quite believe it's happening!

I had AOS/EAD/AP pretty much filled out and ready to go before my husband got here. Everything but I-94 and marriage certificate and photocopy of his passport/visa stuff. It was nice to have it out of the way. He didn't come for two months after he got the visa, so I had plenty of time to study the next step while I was still in paperwork high gear.

Each process seems easier because you do know what you are doing and maybe don't have the same fear you started with. By the time we got to removing conditions and citizenship, I just slapped it together and skipped cover letters and extra non-essentials. Bam! Done. But I always read the form instructions.

First time I have seen someone excited about AP but in this case it should be a good thing.

Best of luck.

Thank you, goodnight and may your gods go with you",

Yeah, I'll be even more excited with issued. Considering London are rather fast for processing turnaround it shouldn't be too long :)

Interview on 21st Sept CEAC went to issued on 24th, email today saying Visa ready for collection tomorrow 29th

Booked flight for 2nd Oct

Started this process at the beginning of July 2014, had a few hiccups on the way

People on VJ kept my hopes up and gave great advice

For everyone of you going through the process, you will be up and down, but always remember it WILL happen

Good luck to you all

Derek

Congratulations. Safe travels.

Before you go, why don't you change your consulate from Armenia to London? Also maybe your visa type in the profile? It helps all the VJ stats.

We did it! POE cleared. Target shopped at. Months of work (not over yet), but from now on we'll be doing it together.

The embassy misplaced my fiancee's birth certificate, but luckily she had originals and copies of EVERYTHING and was able to hand it over to the officer to complete his check off. :)
