Hello,

I am about to file my I-129F for my fiancee in India and have a question. My fiancee has previously studied in the US and was issued a social security number. She now lives in India and her visa is no longer valid. My question: Is the social security number still valid? Should we use that number on form G-325 to be filled by her and on the I-129F?

From what I've read and understood on here, her SSN was issued to her and will always be her number. You might contact the SSN office and ask them what she needs to do once she gets here.

Yes, you can use that number. Once you get a SSN assigned to your name, it'll be yours FOREVER.

Yes the number is assigned to a person for life. The number is not even reassigned after death.

It would help them identify you, and may make the process a bit smoother.

I-129F Part B question 8 asks for Foreign Beneficiary's SS number.

G-325A Has a place for the SS number.

DS-230 Part 2 question 33a also asks for the number.
