Hello All,

I would like to have advising from experienced people on forum on changing my address while waiting for the next step of Citizenship examinations.

I have my GC based on marriage , got the 1st GC on 7/11, successfully remove the condition on 8/2013, so I applied for the Citizenship on 3yrs rule on US spouse.

After all of other steps done on 8 months waiting period, I took the Citizenship test on 01/14/2015, passed all the English, history and Govt questions.

Then, the IO asked a lot of questions on my marriage.

We have one daughter and all utilities bills is under the joint both name. I have Life insurance (high amount and premium), bought from last 3 years and my retirement account are designated for my wife. However, the IO seems more focus on the Joint banking accounts we have. She asked why it maintains low balance (personally I thought it wouldn't be "low" because we have appr $1000 ending balances there). My wife is just working part-time, I'm household supporters.

The IO even made swans statement and asked me signed on my answers. It's all about my phone bills and banking accounts.

We bought the house on December 2014, but has not change address by that time because we were still waiting for the interview letter back to that time.

My question is should I change the address to my new house now or just leave the way it is as apartment (which on the USCIS files)? But I'm only ones in mortgage because she's bad credit.

Will it create the red flags?

Please advises, thanks!

Harrison15 I don't think it should cause any red flags, but you just never know these days...it appears every IO is different in their process .. Did the IO give any reasons as to why a decision could not be made ? Could you let us know about your interview experience???

As for the address, I would think that because you are still living in your apartment (or if not living in it but lease under ur name) that you could still use that address. However the house you bought is nearby? If it is, I would then assume you would still be in the same USCIS field office, so it should not delay your approval by changing address if you are now living in your new home...

The lease is under our name.

And the house is nearby, so it would at the same Filed office.

The experience is after go through all of the test , the IO will more focus on your joint bank account, they inquired a lot from that like who make deposit and the daily balance.

They wonder why we haven't make much deposit. I never care about my wife income since she is just working part time and most expenses will comes into our kids already.
