Hi All,

New to this forum. My wife and I, living in singapore and going thru green card process. We have the same issue regarding police certificates issued by indian high commission in singapore not accepted by NVC. we got our check list from NVC on December 24. Beyond a letter from my lawyer explaining that high commission is the same as embassy, we have not done anything. But it looks like a more serious problem, seeing these posts. Has anyone had any success yet? Please advise...we don't to wait another 60 days and get the same checklist.

Don't involve your attorney since they will not call NVC and can't explain what exactly is the problem. Very first prepare one letter explaining your problem and take print out of a letter, then take print of PCC (there might be scan copy with you) then take scan and print of passport page which has an endorsement stamp stating that your PCC has been issued on some date with it's reference number. So you need to attach sequence as 1. letter explaining everything about PCC 2. PCC 3. Passport page which has PCC. 4 Front and last page of your Passport. Make a pdf file. send this letter to all NVC emails.

When NVC, at 8:00 pm ( Singapore time), call them. Tell representative that earlier also many Indians staying abroad had face this problem because of the format of PCC provided to us by our embassy and so you need to urgently explain this thing to supervisor. Put all your energy in explaining this matter to supervisor and explain them that you already provided this thing. This problem only can be solved if you able to talk to supervisor. Hope this could be helpful to you.

Dear K415, thank you for your reply. Earlier in this thread, you had mentioned that you have this same problem and about the endorsement in the passport. We're you able to convince the supervisor of this? Has the issue been resolved now and the checklist voided now for you? I hope so!!! Thank you.

Yes it was resolved immediately, also I helped one person from canada to resolve it. Try to talk to supervisor named " Bespy" she was reviewing my case.

Dear K415,

Thank you for your prompt reply. And Congratulations on solving the problem by yourself! I have two questions:

1. After sending the cover letter and documents - pcc and passport page by email, how long did you wait before calling NVC?

2. My service center is in NewHampshire. Yours is in Texas. Can I still ask for supervisor "Bepsy"?

Thank you!

Tomorrow morning or in evening you could send a letter and call them when NVC opens ( 8:00 pm singapore time).

As per my guess NVC has only one number and I think all calls go to same place. If they wont pass phone to supervisor, call them again dont give up till they pass the call. You need to be strong enough to ask them. Try to scare representative by telling them that it is very urgent because you already submitted the document. After you reach supervisor try to explain that this had been already happen to one other case of singapore which was completed on 29th december. Good luck

Dear K415,

Thanks for all your help. As per your advice, I sent a detailed email with all the attachments today and then called NVC today evening Singapore time. After some difficulty with the rep, I managed to reach a supervisor named "Sue". I talked to her for 20 minutes explaining and pleading. She was very patient and 'understanding' but kept saying I needed to send the documents by mail before she can look at it. I just could not get thru this barrier. She will keep an eye out for my documents by mail - not sure if this is just BS? I asked her how long it may take and she said the usual : normal processing time is 60 days blah blah. Should I call again and try to reach another supervisor or will it backfire?

But she also said I could send an email to NVCEXPEDITE and give a reason for it to be expedited and then it will be forwarded to the US embassy in Singapore and they may consider it. Anyone has any experience with it in Singapore or elsewhere? I already sent the email with documents with NVCEXPEDITE but I did not give any reason why my case should be expedited. If I write again giving some reasons, will it help? What reasons can I give for it to be expedited?
