My wife's interview is this Thursday. How long does it normally take for her name to be called? Her appointment time is at 6:30am.

Process can take a few hours. We had a 6:30 appointment, back when, and it was almost 3 hours before the actual interview.

She should be done easily before the embassy closes the doors Thursday.

The Immigrant Visa Unit will be closed starting 12:00 noon of January 15 to January 16 for the Papal Visit

Pope is scheduled to arrive at NAIA at 545pm on Thursday, after the Embassy closes for business on Thursday. Shouldn't be an issue except for maybe a little more traffic in the area as the gov't finishes preps for the papal visit.

My fiancee interviewed today and had to wait 2 hours for her name to be called.

May I ask how long it took you guys to get to this point? I've read everything from 6 months, to over a year, to finally get my fiancé's K1...We had "planned" on six months, but after reading threads here I'm beginning to think that's optimistic.

From the date we mailed the I-129F to the USCIS until the date of embassy interview, 4,5 months. Phil applications are expedited for reasons unknown to me, but Phil applicants are processed very very fast by the USCIS. Also, UESM has flexible scheduling meaning you can schedule interview using Manila case number u get on the phone from the NVC before you even get a letter from the Embassy. That speeds things up too. Our case is not unique but seems to be pretty standard timeline among Phil applicants.

My wife's interview is this Thursday. How long does it normally take for her name to be called? Her appointment time is at 6:30am.

We were at the USEM today for my fiancées interview. The line is long outside the USEM at 6am. Our appointment was 7:30am and we were seated in the USEM courtyard by 6:30am. They put our number up on the screen at 6:55am, so we then went to the first of the 5 windows we had to go to throughout the process. Nothing special happened for us at our appointment time of 7:30. We were at various windows all morning. The windows were in this sequence ... fingerprint scan, then pre-screening questions, then oath, then interview and finally releasing. We were done by 10am.

If it was me I would tell her to go over there 5am to get in line.

I started the petition process in June 2014. I130 was approved in less than 2 months. We received the interview letter on December 2012. Didn't take that long for us.

Don't forget to bring the confirmation page of ds260 bc it's very important, u need to show the confirmation page from the entrance to finish, yesterday a lot of people didn't bring that ds260 and they were asked to get a copy and print to net shop across the street and the fee for printing was 400 peso? so expensive! ,gud luck on your interview!
