I have sent my AOS and IV packet but i thought DS-260 online form is for interview and they said I can fill it out anytime before the interview

______1 - IMMIGRANT VISA APPLICATION PART 1:_______________________

All traveling immigrant visa applicants on your case are required to complete and submit the DS-260

You will find instructions for submitting all required forms and supporting civil documents on our

Please note the applicant will need the following information to access and complete DS-260:

NVC case number

Invoice identification number

Beneficiary identifcation number for each traveling applicant

No you must go online to the portal and fill out the DS-260. You take the confirmation page of the DS-260 to the interview. It must all be done before the interview. No you have to have it filled out to get an interview date.

Is this considered as a checklist? does this mean that my case is completed and just need to wait on interview date? or do i need to wait another 60 days in order to get a response?

Well you have to complete the DS-260 and that is reviewed. Then your AOS and IV is reviewed. Until they receive everything no Case Complete no Interview is given.
